YAF - Youth Achievers Forum

(bah, i was one of the emcees. again.)

Well I'll just gloss over this really quickly, cos i hear the event is about to be covered in the press.
Well, emcees in forums are assigned to different areas where the so-called 'mini-speeches' will be conducted.

I think the whole experience was quite interesting, cos this was my first time emceeing for a FORUM. Besides, while waiting for the guest speaker to arrive, I spent my time well reading books, - hey, i was assigned to the library. which was so convenient, i must add.

it was all very fun.

On Monday, I had to present, along with Emmanuel and Swathi, about our experiences gained during the YAF.
The funniest thing was that I kept hearing people whisper while i was talking. i don't know if it was about me or what.
but later that afternoon, i happened to meet haniff in the art room, and he was like,'hey, gowri! the one with the man-voice!'

I was so pissed! wow, thanks haniff!
but it's alright. i've heard worse.

and besides, it's manly voice. not man-voice!!
ok enough.
then, during the same morning i presented, i had to get up on stage again. Well, Mrs Tan was talking as usual, and i kinda, tuned out for a while.

I didn't know what she was talking about until i heard her say, '.....APCG.' then i was like, oh crap, i've gotta go up on stage. AGAAAAIN!!!'

Well it wasn't that bad after all. Nasri and I received goodie bags from the conference organisers, and a copy of our articles, along with a letter from the chairman, if i'm not wrong.

It was all kinda cloying, if you know what i mean.

And there was a girl who passed me in a corridor and said hi to me. and then proceeded to say she loved my voice. Wow, thanks!

I think she's sec3 and i think nadia and raysha know her. Wonder why, i just have that feeling :)

I guess i'll have to post about Sports Day IN DETAIL another time.
OH YEAH, Sis's class was the overall champion for the UPPER SEC level. And she was first for the 4x400m relay. yay.
