This week's been chock-full of stuff..so let's start with the worst.


This is regarding the Afterthought.



The AT had nominated me for English Rep(resentative) yesterday, spelling pure sabotage. I hadnt even been rude to her, but that goon said my name, and so did everyone else, just bcos they were jealous of my being better at Eng than them. plain bull.



It's not an easy job, and the form teacher was forcing me to be the Rep. I was considering it, but I had my own reasons which I shan't disclose. but, i thought, i'm no coward. i could show the afterthought that i was capable of anything (that she wasn't).


I mean, form tr let another boy take the position of Art Rep, which I wanted to take. And form tr didnt even ask for my opinion. It was so freaking UNFAIR, and i smelt injustice.


In the end, I had to be Eng Rep. And it's a freaking tough job to do, you've got to carry heavy books to and fro to the staff room and back which is on the ground floor and situated far away in some ulu-ulu corner.


So today, right after assembly, when the classes were leaving the hall, Slash and I slipped out to get Spontaneous Writing books from the staff room. The problem was that the books werent there. Pissed like hell, we told this guy Slob that the bks werent there. now, slob is the chairman. without doing any damn thing about the situation, he just went inside the class. FYI, he was the previous Eng Rep, so he should have gone with me instead of Slash to teach me the ropes. TOO BIG AN EGO, PERHAPS.



Just then, a friend of mine, Yun, dropped a bombshell on me,"Hey, Gowri, i think you also supposed to bring the CR books down, you know?"



I nearly lost my cool. Went on my own to carry all 40 a4 sized books down to the ulu-ulu staff room. Spont, Writing books were still not there.



Came back to class. Another tr was there..and from her I learnt that the whole class had to do the spont.writing on foolscap . and they would have extra work cos they wld hv to copy their writing on their books, if in the first place they got the books back. Pffft.


Was like some zombie for the rest of the lesson...history lesson and recording of BVNEws was the only thing today was worth for. Besides, me head was dropping onto the table every 5 mins, seriously the only antidote was Mdm Geetha's lesson, during which we had a test. Quite easy, actually.

English was the last period...close to an hr. Miss Dhar said, "All sit except my English Rep."

Then Slob said very, VERY cheerfully, "Oh, Miss Dhar! English Rep change oredi!"

She asked who it was. And I stood. Then, the most shocking thing happened. She actually smiled at me. For a nanosecond. I mean, I didn't know what to make of it. Was she smiling sarcastically, smiling to disarm me and put me off my guard, or was she smiling bcos she liked the new eng rep? teachers are very complicated.


Then, she took me down to instruct me on what to collect and when. The funniest thing was that she started saying,"Ok, the previous Eng Rep did not do his duties properly, he should have instructed the new Eng Rep and told her what to do."


WTH!!!!


I mean, i know what some of you are already thinking. I know I could have taken initiative and asked him myself, but i did ask him about minor stuff, like when to collect books and stuff. The thing is, i didn't know that Miss Dhar had these procedures. However, i feel, as the senior to the position, he should have been a leader and told me what to do. really.

Anyway, onto more important things, today I reported to art room, and on the way there, i met Iq who came running out to tell me to stay in the room, until he got back. gd enuf. but i didn't eat my lunch. thank you.

so, we waited for results to be out, lots of drama goin on, i mean, you know what to expect when it's o levels results-release.

Another funny thing: Slash dropped by at the Art Room to ask Mdm Maziyan smth, but she wasn't there. So, if i'm not wrong, iq thought Slash was there bcos she wanted to report for eldds, and the next minute, iq just took her to be one of the reporters and told her to report. I mean, it's not like i don't want Slash to report, of course, she learns fast enough. but it was just reminding me of how surreal things are at ELDDS.

So, we met up with some seniors..and the weird thing was that sis was standing beside me while we were waiting to interview the top scorers..so most of them started to note the similarities in our appearances...freaky but true.

Then, Iq was kinda jumping the gun... no offence actually, but there is such a thing called cutting yourself some slack, k? :)

I'm working late into the night, and I've got to finish up some writing, given my schedule of classes and CCA piled on top of one another.

Shall dream of that lime ice-cream on the bus ride home.
