WHAT'S A GIRL GOTTA DO WHEN SHE DIGS UP THOSE FEMALE PROTOTYPES KNOWN AS BARBIE DOLLS AND OTHER PARAPHERNALIA??? @ 3:23 AM

Got back to updating, even in the midst of these rites of passage that we call examinations.

I went ballistic today. In some ways, i guess.

School was okay.

Paper 1 *tm was a load of ----, i mean, i guess i wrote ----. Not many examples of alliteration, not as much as i had expected, but i do have a good feeling about p1.

paper 2's compre was a pain in the, eyes, shall we say. confused me with its questions.

4 papers down, 6 more to go. a hell of a lot, gowri thinks.

shoes. wonderful prima ballerina teeny-flat-heels that i wore to my cousin's 21st birthday party at the G.R club. they have served me really well..

i wanted to buy the black pair this year but they didn't sell em.

them bata pricks.

(i will talk about the party another time :() )

me outside.

btw, tell me what you think of the outfit :)

i love feedback.

because you can always use it against the other party.

ok, i was kidding.

As for today,

A part of the house was being cleaned out. and my childish playthings were exhumed...i can't believe i'm saying this, but all the nostalgic memories came back.

Guys, i mean boys, beware.

Don't gawk and all, like come on, i'm a girl, i am allowed to be crazy to some extent, and i was in a barbie phase!!

Presenting...the Barbie Perfume Maker.

(this was taken against my piano, fyi)

from top left clockwise: Glitter canister, perfume stirrers, perfume rings, perfume 'recipes'.

my complete porcelain tea set!!!

and i'm surprised it's still intact and whole!!!!!!!!!

alright, i will stop it.

shoes.

shoes.

shoes.

ehmagod.

shoes.

xinyi, olivia and sailesh, you'd better be thinking what i'm thinking.

and then there's that pathetic pair of sunglasses at the end.

i wanted to do some picture editing and write 'these shoes rule, these shoes suck' (hehe..OSX, our private joke, aye!) but i didn't have the time.

drool. if only they were in my size. i kinda like the white ones, though. they are oxford booties. lovely.

you pathetic pair of sunglasses again.

a porcelain doll with one foot in a teacup and the other in a saucer.

a mish-mash of my 'barbie' toys and whatever, including some clothes and combs.

i had to throw away some of the dolls, cos they weren't original barbie dolls and were ugly and some were decapitated in certain places. please look up the meaning of decapitated, you'll know what i mean. i dressed them up appropriately (because....) for a proper burial - no - for a proper throwing-away, ahem.

nah..i don't like these oxford booties.

should i try these?

yeah! they bloo-- fit!

this doll belonged to my sister. i bought it for her at this sale. (read on.)

i think it was prettier than my barbie. because it was a sort of New York Edition Barbie and it was dressed really well, in a jersey dress and it had blonde/brown highlights. i just..played around with it using some markers one day, and it ended up like this. sorry sis, but you just don't play with dolls anymorst.

i think i'm a good temporary beautician tho. mr heng called me one in class (because i eyeliner-ed the eyes of the girl on the cover of my textbook) and he thought i didn't hear.

I CAN REMEMBER that day when I was eight and my dad brought me to Ngee Ann City (so it was at Ngee Ann City!!) where there was this ENORMOUS BARBIE SALE going on..and there were tons of barbies everywhere and everything screamed money.

I bought my first ever, ORIGINAL BARBIE DOLL, AND I CAN STILL REMEMBER what it was called. yES,

RAINBOW PRINCESS BARBIE.

Lovely, that one was.

The dress was made of organza, if i am not freaking wrong, and it had darts on the bodice. it came with a special comb, and accessories. My favourite ever.
alright, i'm already tearing a little.

xinyi, does this freak you out? i know you love her contacts.

one of my favourite toys when i was still a little woman.

Christmas 2004.
West Mall.

Sigh.

Have a happy weekend, guys.
