Today, in my school, we had Teachers' Day celebrations.

Myself and 2 other prefects were the steering committee behind the whole moolah.

I was emceeing, playing the piano, and I choreographed the 'dedication-song' dance, which made me sacrifice a hell lot of blood, tears, sweat and stools. I was joking about the last part.

So, I did a very good job of emceeing too, and the whole repertoire had to be performed for the afternoon session, which was like a second chance for us to make amendments to our performance. And I had to write the whole emceeing script myself, with no help whatsoever, and the head prefect, who was part of the committee, didn't give a damn. anyway, i managed well enough on my own so...

I wore this long white blouse, with modest frills down the middle, and cap sleeves. It went really well with my PhInK jeans. And my earrings were those noir-black ginormous-by-a-two-year-old-girl's-standards hoops. Then I wore a cool multi-stranded bracelet. My hair was kept in place with this wide hairband.

Yadayadayada...i put some eyeliner, and army/mint green eyeshadow..the overall effect looked rather enchanting. In the holding room (a.k.a music room), everyone, everything was abuzz with activity. Everyone was spraying hairspray (i just hv to catch the movie!!) , some fooled around with it, then the female members of the cast were dolling up..

really, a certain someone who was playing 'Rihanna' in the drama kept commenting on my dress....

"Gowri, that dress is just..nice you know!!"
"Gowri, nice dreeeesss!"
"(cast member's name), don't you just think Gowri's dress is nice?"
"Yeah, Gowri's dress is really nice!!"

And it wasn't even a dress, for Sophia Loren's sake. It just happened to be a really long blouse. And she kept saying that, I was starting to wodner if she was actually meaning the opposite. I finally retorted, "Ok, how many times will you say that?" And that just did the trick.

one thing i learned is that we must always keep a cool head, even in the most embarrassing of situations. It could save your temper and your life; It did for me.
