Hi there, people.

From the looks of these past posts, you can deduce that I'm into: PHOTOBLOGGING. Yeps, I'm intrigued by it, and it's here to stay, I guess. I'm like, pretending to be a professional photographer, adjusting the camera modes, and selecting the perfect modes ("this is with flash, and this isn't!").

Yesterday, Mum and Dad attended ths awards ceremony where Dad was to receive an award (congrats!). After that, they brough back the stuff that the big boys over there had given all the guests. One of the gifts were:

Beautiful, innit?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And of all things, they brought back 3 stalks of freshly-cut roses. ROSES! REAL ONES! you know, not the sort you see in some place, with the fake dew sprayed onto them. Real, soft, beautiful ones! And I immediately, put them in a big vase and filled it up with water. Gosh, they looked stunning, floating like no one's business in the water.

See what I mean? The red goes perfectly with the tv corner and the chestnut-brown furniture.

It was hell, I took so many shots of this lone subject, with flash, and without, and I had to select the best among them. Gruelling, yes, but cool all the same.

I'm not sure from where, but i suddenly got this wicked idea of introducing friends to the lone vase of roses. Like they do in those professional glossies and the Class95 advertisments (95% class, 5% wicked, you know that sort of thing?!)

Click on the pic to enlarge it, and you'll see what i wrote on the card. Being the ultimate perfectionist, I took great pains to write the word 'Clique' in my best cursive, so it looked classy and all, yeah...

Oh, cue another stroke of genius.

I saw a snippet of this ad on some cable tv channel for this show called 'The Starter Wife'. No need to know which channel and who stars in it. I saw the end of the ad, where two rings were dropped into a flute of champagne (slow-motion, no less), and I derived the next 3 shots from it.

HAHAHAH!!! I kept pushing the card down, cos it wouldn't stay buoyant, but it was really fun. You're probably wondering why I'm talking so much about what happened behind-the-scenes, as in, what took place in order for this shot to be taken. It's just to offer you a candid peek into the behind-the-scenes scene. It doesn't make any sense, but at least the pictures do, yeah (sheepish smile).
But wait, something else is claiming for the camera flash!
