So I'm back.

It was great, preparing for Deepavali ( DPV). We bought some traditional sweetmeats (and made even more) . The ones we made were fudge brownies, chocolate chip cookies, murukku, kueh wajek (frozen glutinous rice floating in melted palm sugar), and of course, jam tarts (pineapple).

Dad and I made a last-minute trip to Little India to get, what else, some DPV paraphernalia!

paraphernalia: gear: equipment consisting of miscellaneous articles needed for a particular operation or sport etc.

well, the crowd at Little India made the crowd at Escape Theme Park during Dec hols look tame. everyone was jostling each other and we had to let it slide if erm, we were uncomfortable.













Adn i bought a ganesha statue, which had diamonds studded in the neck and helmet. and the head was onyx-black. real cool!
i spent all of last weekend making a few mini decorations. The spirit of DPW was all over, and eating stuff made it better. You know, i somehow feel the sprit is borne of real teamwork and happiness. You just feel good, heck, great when you work together with other people.

So we traipsed to Gran's house, where we ate, watched a movie and erm, more of the former.
