confused.frustrated.dowright pissed.
regarding IN, i smsed nas and he didn't reply. what a -. i've got a whole string of adjectives to describe him, he fools around too much. hell yes, i like to fool around and be hyper, but there's a place for nas's kind of humour.
and am trying to race against time to complete this fricking home econs thingy. we've to find out the definition of carbohydrates, amongst other culinary crap. CARBS, for william beckett's sake! who gives a toot? i know you seniors might be laughing your jaws off, but anyway it was the sort of crap you guys went thru :)(
and the sun's shining like hell, and i wanna go have a bath before...you know what i'm gonna say.
I went to school like, thrice this week! for speech day rehearsals, history class and maths lesson, which was boring to be truthful, but at least the teacher wasn't impatient. she looked quite dedicated and persevering.
oh, then i've got the rain to rant about. Yesterday, i took 941, and walked to school. as i was passing the interchange, met Shirley, so walked with her. On the way, we had fun "cursing" the rain, and sidestepping the muddy puddles (my shoes got screwed.)
then, actually i was supposed to meet Aqila Tequila regarding the history project, while Slash was supposed to meet Aqila Tequila to pass her contribution for the history project. When i arrived, i saw the both of them sitting there. probably laughing at me. haha. and then i noticed that some other ppl like the actors were there. omg..i embarrassed myself nicely...my culottes were a little wet.
I'd come quite early, which meant i'd nothing to do for practically 1 hour..so i took to walking around the school, also looking out for the rest of the emcees in case I saw then.
I was actually LOITERING! can you believe it? Gowri, stickler for rules, mature retard, LOITERING? Funnily, I kept coming across this guy from Modern Dance. Then when i was making another round, i met Mrs Grace Ong, who stopped for awhile to talk about IN.
Finally at 2, people started streaming in, and we were able to get the ball rolling. Unfortunately, Farheen wasn't there. So it was just myself, Rachelle, Leonard, Shaun and Jagan. Shaun's my co-host, so there are 3 pairs altogether.
-------------------------------------------------------
I'm typing this at 5-smth in the evening, since i logged on again to do work.
I'd been spending a lot of time on the net watching and watching The Academy Is... videos...I really cannot get enough of them! And the worst part is...
THEY ACTUALLY PLAYED HERE FOR SINGFEST '07 AND I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT IT.
I felt like cursing my luck and stamping around my chair when i was watching the Youtube vids of them performing in Fort Canning. WHYWHYWHYWHYWHY!?!?!?
Actually, i'm not really to be blamed..since i hadn't heard anything about The academy Is... at that time, and i didn't know that they were this good! But seriously, if i were a fan of them from last year, i would have considered going (despite the fact that tickets were 150 bucks each, but concert-goers said it was worth it.)
I'm so crazy about TAI that I subscribed to TAI TV, their official vodcast channel. All (as Guy Ripley of Cobra Starship would say) delicious 44 episodes of it.
Yesterday's Speech Day rehearsal was awfully fun, a bit tense at times. It was great to see Rachelle..her sunny face makes you kinda happy.
Oh yes, the omigod-you're-bhavani's-sister thing has not been done with :)(
During the finale, i happened to be standing against the wall (like some extra from Lily Allen ft. Common music video). So when the performers had to go backstage to come out for the finale song, they ended up squashing me to the wall (and i'm not very rotund either).
I happened to be standing beside these two girls from Modern Dance. Then, suddenly they started pointing at me and saying,"Hey, she looks like bhavani, you know. yeah, exactly like her!"
My awkward reply to that was,"Um, I'm like, Bhavani's sister?"
OMG they started laughing like crazy...
And then during another time (when I wasn't getting squashed) , there was this tall guy standing 2 metres away from me, saying,"Hey, you look quite familiar, you know. Have I seen you somewhere?"
And before I could reply, almost everyone standing there said,"She's Bhavani's sister!"
It was a day of hilarity, really. Even though people were staring at me like crazy, I didn't mind. Unless you've done something wrong, you shouldn't go around berating people about where they could stick their eyes instead.
Yeah, i know it's not common for a sec 1 to be an emcee and it's not even term 2, but you guys are jealous or what? Or just being narrow-minded and restricted. It's time to break tradition, no?
It's a little dark now, but I cannot resist going to the window and shouting out to that G-O-R-G-E-O-U-S EVENING SUN,"I WANT OATS! I WANT OATS! I WANT OATS WITH SUGAR IN IT!!"
------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, I just did that.
I really have to go have my T-time, probably two slices with Nutella, and Nutella only (no butter allowed eh!). You guys must see the way I
slap on the Nutella. Maybe I will wake up one day with a whole cocoa butter plantation in my system. Nah that's just wishful thinking.
Two more things before I leave...
Sujin Thomas called? The mypaper writer? I cannot believe it, but maybe it's not him..but then again how many Sujins do we know? He was doing a story about trends teens are into..and mentioned skins for iPods, laptops, handphones, etc. and was asking why teens are into it..and what do i use my skins for..and stuff like that. It made me think how much we INcrowders are of a sounding-board for teens, cos what we say HAS to reflect their opinions, or else the teens' sections of newspapers can close shop. OF COURSE I WAS KIDDING.
The last thing is about one of the dreams i had last night. I know I don't even remember my dreams, even if i do, i don't blog about them. but this dream was different seriously.
The dream went like this...
i was at my dresser, with my hair awfully long (how come?). Then, i took out this long stick-like thing, and it was coloured pink and peach and the ends. I turned it over and saw this completely white surface, with a sort of white powdery paste on it. I put it on my skin, and realise it's actually the white make-up geisha put on. I practically cover my face with it, even the eyebrows, then shade them in with a burnt matchstick (the real geisha use a burnt twig of paulownia wood).
Then, i apply eyeliner and lipstick (thanks a lot, Revlon), and heck, I LOOK LIKE A GEISHA! And i bun up my hair. Then, Sis comes looking for me. Looks at my face. Freaks out. Puts out a finger to touch my face, but I accidentally hit her finger, trying to defend myself (and my make-up)
And that's when I woke up.
have a great weekend, everybody.
